Gitaz Bindrakhia Pens Emotional Note on Late Punjabi Singer Surjit Bindrakhia's Birth Anniversary

On the 57th birth anniversary of legendary Bhangra singer Surjit Bindrakhia, his son Gitaz Bindrakhia posted an emotional note on his late father on April 15. Surjit Bindrakhia breathed his last in 2003. He is still remembered as a trendsetter in Punjabi folk singing and he was a versatile singer. Bindrakhia sang over 250 songs during his singing career.

Surjit Bindrakhia started his career as a `Bhangra’ artist and then in the year 1991-92 he switched over to Punjabi songs. He became renowned with his popular Punjabi album `Munda Ki Mangada’. He became a household name in Punjab with popular hits such as “Lak tunu tunu”, “Tere vich tu ni tera yaar bolda”, and “Dupatta tera satrang da”.

On the other hand, his son Gitaz Bindrakhia made his singing debut with the song titled 'Tere Bajhon Bindrakhia' in the year 2010, album debut with 'Jind Mahi' in the year 2012 and finally he made his acting debut in the year 2013 with the film 'Just U & Me'.
